cob's

by:

Does anyone know what is going on with COB's? I know of a lot of sororities that had girls drop, which would leave spots open for a snap bid. I know Panhellenic sent out an email with a form to fill out if you were interested. But everyone I ask has no idea what actually is going on with it. Any ideas???

We would definitively know by now? I was invited to one house, then I heard back that they were no longer giving out bids. So all the sororities have reached out to their potentials by now? Or are some waiting until spring?

If they were going to snap, wouldn't they have contacted the PNM by now?

Snap bidding: An option available to chapters that did not fill quota. Chapters may offer bids to potential new members whose preferences were not matched, meaning they would not be extended a bid by chapters they listed on their preference rankings after preference round.

No snap bidding is still going on from what I hear but most sororities are or have wrapped it up. If no one has contacted you yet or talked to you then you probably did not get picked.

So were we suppose to tell them what sorority we were Intrested in, for COB or snap? How does it work. I got an email after rush but didn't know if I was suppose to do anything else. And will all sororitys have rush in Spring?

All sororities will be at winterfest, but only the ones below quota will be taking girls. They won't be sure who will be taking girls until closer to spring because girls drop for whatever reason and a lot of girls graduate in fall. But usually it's like 3-6 sororities and take anywhere from 1-20 girls or so each. Usually more like 3-10. It's not necessarily always the "bottom" sororities either but those will be the main ones.
