Heard more than usual number of no shows at bid day yesterday even from top and middle houses

Stupid. Did rho gams not explain to not put down a house if you would not accept a bid from it?

I'm curious too. What accounts for that? Why not just do what the men do and let the women join whatever sorority they want without limitations or restrictions?
All the sororities seem to be the same size, but the men fraternities are all different sizes.

This is more successful. That would make it hard for new sororities to come onto campus and for the less desirable ones to remain competitive. I like the nature of fraternity rush better, but this makes more sense.

I heard this a lot from different girls/sororities. Why did the PNMs list a house they would not accept a bid from? They took away a slot another girl could have had. This should have been explained to them!

This happened because girls were advised not to SIP (put down less houses then they had) no matter what. They were told that they had a chance at a quota addition to the house they wanted but only if they put all their houses down which is why they did even if they didn't intend on taking a bid from every house they put down.

Well this is just wrong. Either there was miscommunication or this is something new being told to the girls to help everyone find a place.
