to rush or not to rush
by: PNMI've been going back and forth between whether or not I want to rush. Although it seems like a stressful yet fun experience, it would mean that I would only be home for a week which bums me out. Also, my dad doesn't seem to be for the idea of it because I'm living off campus so what I would be paying for being member could total up to be worth a couple months of rent and we are already struggling to begin with. I want to join other organizations as well but I don't want to be limited because of the activities in my sorority. I feel like joining a sorority will add to the college experience and Im not interested for the sole purpose of parties or status since Im not really into the party scene anyway. I just don't want to rush and end up loving it but then not be able to do it

I was very undecided about whether or not I wasted to rush last year, and I'm so glad I did. My parents became more comfortable with the idea of paying for it once I explained what exactly the money was going toward as well as how much I really loved the sorority I ended up at. I say rush and see how it goes. You can always rush and not accept your bid, that's better than not rushing and later on wishing that you did.
