I've heard rumblings of minor "hazing" happening in 2-3 houses but I never found them very legit. They 100% don't at all in my house. I think there is more of a mental hazing in one "top" house with just the older girls acting better than the younger ones, but in most houses the new members are treated like princesses. Not something to worry about.

I heard from a top tier girl herself that she and her PC were hazed like crazy. It's supposed to just mentally mess with you. I'm in a lower tier and there is no hazing allowed whatsoever

New members are treated like family because that's what a sorority is about. Whether you're in a top house or not, hazing doesn't happen. I'm in a top house and was not hazed at all. Not mentally or anything like the rumors say... don't listen to them. I loved my new member process and if any of the sororities hazed they would be caught by Panhellenic. Don't listen to the rumors on this bs site.

Sororities at FSU do not haze .... But that doesn't mean all members are nice to new members.. For the most part they absolutely are as new members are the lifeblood of the organization . There will always be a few girls who will want to establish a hierarchy .
One OP mentioned DG as being guilty of mistreating new members... Perhaps they have been but I guarantee you every house has had situations occur where sisters just didn't click. mentioning houses by name on here in hopes of ruining their Rush is so immature and petty. Saying negative things about any house in hopes of ruining their rush prospects is detrimental to all of us.
Please try to rise above your personal feelings and support all your Panhellenic sisters.

If you aren't even in a sorority and if you are not even in DG, and you are only going based on stupid rumors, you should NOT be speaking. It's obvious this website is full of catty, insecure trolls who have nothing better to do than spread hate on other organizations so they can make their own appear better.
DG is a target in all of this, mainly based on unsubstantiated claims and RUMORS. I'm not going to say what sorority I am in, but I have experienced discomfort when first joining also. I felt as though I didn't get along with the older members in my sorority either. They never hazed me, I just didn't click with everyone. After a while, that feeling went away and now I feel much more comfortable where I am. It's natural to feel left out when thrown into something unfamiliar.
