I strongly recommend you go through the rush process. If it's not for you later down the road you can always drop. As long as you are authentic to yourself and don't let others influence your choice you have an opportunity find a true home away from home in any of the sororities. Your going to hear the phrase "be authentic, live your values" all week during rush- so much so that it seems like a cheesy catch phrase but it's important that you don't dismiss it. I hope you that if you choose to go through with this process you find the most perfect sisterhood like I have.

Honestly, we have so many chapters, you're bound to find a home that you absolutely love. I know so many girls that rushed that didn't exactly fit the sorority stereotype, and that's ok! It's better to just go through rush and just see if it's for you or not. Best of luck!

They really only show a fraction of the girls in the sorority. The majority of sororities have all types of girls. Sure, each sorority attracts girls they find similar to themselves, but you can still find a group in any sorority to bond with. Some sororities like the more hipster girls, some don't. Rush will make them all look the same and all super preppy but being in a sorority is nothing like rush is, they turn into real girls after rush week lol. You'll be fine and find somewhere that you feel comfortable.
