Fiji courted them and got denied. Axo decided to do a recreational pairing instead of pairing with FIJI. They were that desperate because recreational pairs automatically can't win homecoming.

I'm not even in AXO but who cares about winning HC? The fun you have with your pairing is what everyone cares about. That's why everyone is on here talking about the frat they're paired with... if they're good or not. Not if they think they can win homecoming with them. Lol

what's the difference between a "normal" pairing & a recreational pairing, anyway? never understood the difference.
