Same. All because they think they are "top" houses, doesn't mean girls are going to want to rush them. I mean really. That's a major turn off.

Yeah, i completely agree. I had never even heard of Pi Beta Phi, and they were the nicest girls at the event. I held great conversation with them and I could see myself joining the house. Alpha Delta Pi was my 2nd favorite, the girl I spoke to was so outgoing and seemed like she was genuinely happy to be speaking to me. Phi Mu was also very sweet and they made sure every member present introduced themselves to me, which was really nice and it made me feel they were interested in actually getting to know me. Kappa Delta was also very nice, but I only was able to speak to one of the girls because they were in the corner and crowded. The girl I spoke to told me all about what greek life had done for her, and I really enjoyed hearing that from her. Delta Zeta, Alpha Chi Omega, and Kappa Alpha Theta Barely spoke to me.

I though DG was very nice, but I don't see myself fitting in with them. Delta Delta Delta was very nice also, but I felt bad because when I walked up they completely ignored the girl they were previously talking to to talk to me because I was blonde and she was brunette.

I think I would be the happiest in Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Delta, Phi Mu or Alpha Delta Pi :)

Sharing my thoughts- I had a great experiences with both Tri Delta and Delta Gamma. I felt DG was a bit more superficial and Tri Delta welcomed me. I did not see them rude to anyone though. Pi Phi was also very kind to me. I want to really see what all houses do during recruitment. It is important to be to see how they present themselves, how hard they worked to present their org to me, and also how I would fit in with more of the girls.

I agree. I was so hung up on joining a "top" house before summerfest, but now I understand the whole logic about joining the group that you fit in with. I just want to be in a house that's very involved on campus.

DG, DDD, and ZTA in no certain order

Just came to look at my sorority sister's page and I am shocked how the Greeks treat each other on here. If this is any way how Greek life is at FSU I feel bad for you all. It is not about bringing each other down. Sure, there is friendly competition, but this is really sad. It makes you all look extremely bad.

Keep it up freshmen. I enjoy your posts, but I hate to burst your little bubbles, some of you will be biting your tongues come August when you get to these houses you LOVE during rush and you're dying of boredom. Or better yet, wait til you get to a house like SDT, and you fall in love. Houses really step their game up for ACTUAL recruitment. You will be amazed. Good luck!

It's all about where YOU feel most comfortable, not where your friends think you'll fit in. After all, who wants to pay over $20K to an organization they are miserable in?

DG, DDD, and ZTA definitely showed at Summerfest why they are all strong groups.
