Who you know???

How much weight (if any) does who you know influence your chances of getting a bid if they are not on leadership and only sophomores. Does it help at all (assuming they like you).

If they are respected then people will listen to their opinions, and also if they are articulate in what they say about a pnm and can make a good case.
