does anyone else notice how some chapters try to make themselves look intimidating? slow mo videos cheer uniforms with straight faces? im confused how that would be welcoming and make us want to join it seems so scripted

If that’s the vibe you are looking for, then go there. It’s not particularly a “positive” and a turn off to most PNMs. You just have to focus on finding YOUR people. However, some people like the mean girl stuff.
