if you are one of those people who is shaking in their boots and terrified of certain houses, consider rushing next year. Actually insane how many grown women i had to comfort in pnm lines outside “top” houses bc they were scared… we are all literally just people. all of the houses are friends with each other. it’s SO not that deep. you are a grown woman- why are you fr scared of some random women you don’t know? because they are pretty? they aren’t gonna attack u lmao… get some confidence and a grip on reality and then rush- it will be better for u i promise.

This. So true. Nervous? Normal. Scared and having a meltdown? No. Stop building this up so much.
Sorority members are just people with flaws and problems and hangups and emotions too. They only intimidate you because they can hide all that and keep their cool. Be more like that.
Sororities HAVE to make a good impression because this is the most important thing they will do all year and the HAVE to get it right. Pressure. No 'top' house will take anything for granted in recruitment and will go above and beyond to make sure every PNM loves them. You are not going up to the cool kids table in the lunch room in recruitment, they are asking you to come to them.
Get a grip.
