what is the gpa requirements to rush for a sorority? do all cut immediately based off of it

At LEAST half of the chapters drop girls with a low GPA first round

There is not a minimum GPA required to rush, and panhellenic says you need to have at least a 2.8, but above a 3.0 would actually be better. If you have a 3.5 or higher you're fine.

Each chapter sets their own gpa threshold from input from their national headquarters. Most often the gpa thresholds are higher than the gpa required to registered for rush.

im a sophomore would a 3.0 cut me off completely? like what is the minimum they want a 3.5

You are in a different pool as a sophomore with a separate quota, not competing with freshmen for spots. If you have a college 3.0 it will be easier for you, especially in sororities where you already have some friends.
