Round 2 Question

by:

Can someone get a house back the second day of a round that they were dropped by? Like if the house realized there was a mistake and they wanted them back?

Unfortunately, no. The recruitment process is a flawed system, and sometimes mistakes are made, but once I cut has been made, that is final.

There are no mistakes and the system is not flawed. The sororities are given a number to release at each round so their ranks of pnm's are based on that. If you are above the release line you are asked back, if not you are released from their rush. People want to think there are mistakes when they don't understand the process or don't want to face how it really goes.

Please move on and look ahead to what you have in front of you.

There are mistakes. Just today, there was drama in my chapter because a PNM was dropped who was not supposed to be dropped. It was a mistake made by our internal team and there were lots of tears shed over it.

In addition to that, more PNMs than were allowed to return were given a “perfect score” from recruiters in our chapter. That means that some of the girls who our recruiters loved and thought would be perfect fit in our chapter, had to be released from recruitment because of numbers. It is a flawed system because there are girls who we loved and they loved us and we were not able to invite them back. Inevitably, some of the girls that we invited back for round two are going to cut us for round 3, while we might have been a top choice for some of the girls who we had to cut round 1, even though we loved both of those PNMs equally.

Thank God we don’t have this system for fraternity rush. Not being critical; it’s none of our business. Just imagining men going through this and I can’t.
Don’t take offense. We’re proud of our FSU sororities.
