Rushing as a sophomore, is it harder????

by: sophomore

I know freshman don't compete with sophomores for spots, but is the competition for sophomore spots tougher than the competition for freshman spots? Like are there only a few spots for sophomores available but lots of sophomores rushing? Will a sorority not even want me because I'm not a freshman?

No. It won’t be harder. There aren’t designated spots for anyone. Be yourself and focus on making genuine connections not what year you’re in or how many spots someone has. Keep in kind a chapter could LOVE you and you could still get cut because we don’t determine the cuts— Panhellenic literally tells each sorority how many they have to cut each round. It’s out of our control. If you fall below the cut line - you won’t be coming back. So put your best foot forward and know that the girls in each house will do the same. We want to get to know you no matter your year.

Rush whenever you want. It’s not supposed to be stressful

Yes. It’s harder. Not impossible but they’d rather have girls who would stick around all x4 years.
