Will studying abroad first year help/hurt me in rush?
by: PNM next yearI'm going to be a first year abroad student so I won't be on main campus this fall. Will it be weird to rush as a sophomore next year? I can't get involved in campus life while i'm abroad so will that hurt me?? Or will studying abroad help me because it sets me apart?

In my opinion, it’s a huge advantage. Waiting a year, maturing, meeting tons a new people, being exposed to amazing cultures and seeing the world is only going to enhance your college experience. You will come back look at sorority recruitment as a sophomore in a totally different light vs. being a freshman. Not to mention you will have great conversation starters during recruitment about your experiences.
