Honestly: You may get a lot of cuts right off the bat. ZTA, DDD, DG, etc., you may be disappointed. So if you have your heart set on However, there is an "upper class quota" that allows houses to give a number of extra bids soley to sophomores and juniors. Also, there are some excellent houses that get rated "lower" on this site that are more likely to take a sophomore or junior (i.e., KKG, GPhi, etc.).
Without sounding too cultish, a sorority experience is a life-long thing. I have seen that with my mom and my aunts.

i rushed as a junior and wasn’t cut by any of the sororities mentioned in the comment above. i remember being nervous about being a junior before i went through recruitment too, but don’t stress it. the truth is you are at a disadvantage rushing as a sophomore/junior simply because sororities take more freshman, but if a chapter feels like you’re a good fit then they’ll want you there regardless of what year you’re in. i’m so glad i ended up going through recruitment, if you’re thinking about it then definitely give it a shot. remember to be confident and be yourself!
