I am already in a sorority and I put them at the bottom when rushing because I found them fake. But I saw their graduation congratulations post last month. They had maybe 3 graduate. EVERY sorority has girls fall graduate but don’t spring COB so their numbers are apparently that LOW. Sorry but that’s an extremely large number. But thanks for the input.

if you’re in a sorority you shouldn’t be bringing other chapters down because you simply didn’t like them in your experience. enjoy your chapter and let others enjoy their chapters too

First off, this is greekrank. Secondly, nobody is belittling any sorority. They were just simply stating they COBed 16 girls which in all honesty a lot. All this site does is talk about rankings and who is top tier, middle and bottom. Aphi is one of the sororities that self ranks the most so I actually found this post very informative.

Yes, people graduate love so why aren’t more sororities doing COB. Every sorority has Dec graduates. Some more then Aphi . Stop using that as your excuse. It’s Major drops every semester.

They absolutely had already picked girls before COB began. Most chapters know by the end of fall semester what their numbers look like with grads and drops. Cob is basically a smash and grab for pnms whereby as soon they can they bid new pnms. The houses that have events are the ones that have recruiting issues. The more desired houses bid under the radar. Cob is nothing like fall rush so those of you waiting to hear back from a house should just move on.. it isn’t going to happen

It’s just sad that they still go along with the process and misleading girls. If you already had your girls picked prior why bother advertising and going to the meet night and talking to all the girls there and all that. I understand there is no such thing as dirty rushing in the spring but it seems like that’s what it is.

To be clear so pnms understand, rush is expensive and very time consuming for a chapter put on so many cob under the radar quickly to fill spots.. albeit they have no obligation in spring to host events. It is rude however to lead girls on which it sou nds like Aphi did with meet ups

i think a lot of girls don’t know the difference between “participating in orientation” and “leading girls on.” even if they had their entire pc picked out beforehand, they are still required to attend orientation

Yes they can follow whatever system they wish but then don’t complain about the crappy reputation you get being so rude.. and that is just one reason Aphi is not particularly well liked nor respected on campus.

You realize they probably went on dates prior to orientation and just didn’t like the vibes of that pnm. That’s not rude, that’s rush. Orientation is mandatory for all participating COB chapters regardless of bids beforehand. COB has no rules and girls can’t be hurt that it didn’t work out for them. Fall has more options!
