Description of each of the sororities?

Hi everyone!
I was just approved to transfer in the spring - so I have two questions:
1. Is there any type of formal rush in the spring or would it be better to wait until the fall - and would I have a decent chance as a sophomore?
2. Can anyone give me a brief description of each of the sororities? Just to get a feel of! :)

srats have a lot of people. I would say that the group of good friends you have in a srat are more influential on your experience.
