what makes a house qualify as 'top'
by: slaywhat definitions/characteristics do you guys rank on, just out of curiosity. how attractive the girls are? how fun they are? academics? because you were told they were a top house? i'm not in greek life but like 80% of my friends are and they always talk about other houses. what makes a house 'top' ?

For sororities top houses are usually at least 90% attractive girls who are well connected within FSU. This means that they are involved, possibly bottle girls or close with guys in other “top” fraternities. For fraternities it’s similar with 70-90% attractiveness and they are also well connected and throw events that attract a large portion of greek life. Top sororities would be ZTA, KD, DG, Tri Delt, ADPI, and Theta (not in order) and Top Fraternities being Pike, Theta Chi, SAE, KA, and Sig Ep (not in order)

looks are probably #1, followed by socials and personality, then grades and involvement. i think that on this app people just decided who was top and stuck with it because our middle and upper middle sororities should be rearranged IMO. alpha phi, chi o, delta zeta and phi mu especially have gotten strong PCs recently, while houses like axo and pi phi been lacking. everyone here only ever cares about the top houses but i think the ranking of middle, upper middle, and lower top need to be totally reconsidered.

i agree with @midtier’s comment entirely. i feel like there isn’t a lot of sense to the rankings either bc i feel like the middle ones are lowkey better 😭 i could be biased bc my house is usually classified in middle-upper but the girls in my house and the middle ones r so much more involved, so genuine, and have such strong sisterhoods. the whole ranking thing is just bonkers to me

There isn't a science to it. It's just all the girls who were popular in high school and want to maintain some sense of superiority. 80% of greeklife outside of the middle houses is just people still stuck in highschool. Same with the people who troll this website constantly and post rankings that have their own house bumped up.

Mid tier sororities have much better sisterhood, high retention rates (low drops once initiated), and sisters that are way more involved on campus including leadership outside of their sorority not the same few girls that do everything. Once you get in a sorority and meet girls from other sororities you will find this information is 110% accurate.
