How do top tier sororities choose who to recruit?

The sorority recruitment process is all so interesting to me. I’m just wondering how those who who are known as “top tier” like zta, kd, dg, adpi, etc choose during recruitment. Like do they look for specific things that other sororities that are lower don’t?

To be honest… looks, grades leadership and talents along with personality. It’s the whole package.
All sororities pretty much are the same in this regard but each has a different standard in these areas.

It’s very scientific. Sorority recruitment is highly orchestrated. They call it funneling. The handful of sororities considered top tier are required to eliminate a disproportionately large number of PNMs after the first round. This releases more PNMs into the recruitment system to be distributed throughout the remaining sororities. It’s impressive.
