How is alpha gam still on campus

I’m not even trying to bash, like actually. I’m fr just curious because after all this stuff I’ve read and their rush…… I just don’t get it.

They’re actually a really old house, they’ve been on campus since before FSU was FSU. I’m assuming they have a lot of financial support from their alumni/nationals, they just can’t get it together.

it's really sad actually. ik a few people in agd and they are actually pretty cool, it's just the rep of the sorority that is tanking them. idk why they would pay for a sorority that is tanking so hard

Alpha Gam could rise if PanHellenic would loosen the recruitment rules just for them so they could go out in campus and seek out new members individually. If the only market they have are the women who sign up for formal recruitment, have have little chance to improve.

To do this, Alpha Gam would have to give up their house and give up on ever being relevant. Their national would never allow it and doesn't do it at other schools.

There are sororities in the SEC where nationals and Panhellenic let them opt out of formal recruitment and hold their own events, but they're chapters of smaller NPC orgs, and they're either unhoused, off-campus, or in university-owned housing. Plus they tend to do their own thing and mix with off-campus fraternities or special-interest GLOs.
