This stuff won’t matter after you graduate

At least if you have a good life with a good job and meaningful ways to spend your time…
This stuff won’t matter after you graduate. If it does, then you will probably fit the category of washed up party girl who struggles with substance abuse and cannot form healthy relationships.

The girls who they do matter to, they’ll end up successful in their careers or married to a rich husband because of their alumni connections. Only bottom tier srat girls say “oh it won’t matter after college.” Ofc it won’t, but we’ll have other better things to worry about after college while you guys can reminisce about not being able to be the best while you were in college <3

In many industries and many parts of the country, you are much better off not even talking about being in a sorority. This isn't 70 years ago. It's definitely seen as a partying lifestyle with a bizarre emphasis on superficial things.
Obviously your sisterhood can be super important to you but unless you're going for a very specific type of life it should be in your past and not on your resume. Trust me on this, many interviewers and employers will not take you seriously if it seems like you define yourself at all post-college by your participation in Greek life. "But we were the top sorority" like go sit down, nobody cares!
Use it for networking or to get married right out of college (actually please don't do that) but don't go around shouting about it.

It's not that important for job networking, but among rich people in the South and Texas, membership in specific chapters at specific schools is a class marker. It can be important for fluffy "society" type stuff: charitable and arts organizations (Junior League, the symphony/ballet guild), getting chosen as a deb or Mardi Gras maid for one group vs. another, etc. Yes, it's silly and superficial, but among people who put value on these kinds of things, the groups you belong to give away whether you're one of them (that is, "old money" vs. "new money").

Married to rich husbands? If that’s your goal and reason for being in a sorority, I suggest you actually have a career or fallback plan. Those rich husbands will get bored with you as your looks fade at 30, start looking for their 2nd trophy wife right out of the sorority you came from. Just like the frat bros look to the freshman classes every year.
