Did Chi Phi fail to recolonize?

They have easily one of the worst run nationals. They make TKE look competent

But they had a good chapter here with good alumni.

They did and they do. Their alumni are solid and they have a good history at fsu, but their nationals ruins everything it touches. My dad and brother were in chi phi here and I’ve heard conversations about how terrible their nationals are. They only want chapters full of losers who are easy to control. It’s also telling when their national director is against his son joining any frat, let alone chi phi. Any chapter of chi phi that’s good has flourished in spite of their nationals, not because of it. If the alumni are involved in any meaningful way chi phi will get back on track no problem, but if their nationals is involved don’t expect much until they step away. They’ve never been good at making decisions, and this goes back over a century. They’re the reason SigEp even exists nationally(look it up), and they are all to willing to shut down any chapter that even gets in a whiff of trouble. And then their nationals wonders why the fraternity is so small.

In short, chi phi will be fine long term with help from their alumni, but don’t expect their nationals to help.

I just read the history of SigEp. I never know that a Chi Phi member was responsible for the creation of SigEp.

They will be offering cob’s so they will grow
