Is alpha gam actually gonna disband in the spring?
by: ?????I’ve heard so much crap from so many people at this point, I have no idea what to believe. Are they actually going to lose their house soon? I feel like another srat could def use their house.

I think so. From what I’ve heard, sisters are actually starting to lose faith and drop like crazy, and their house is expensive so you can see how that would be a problem. And I don’t think they’ll get a lot of new members this spring because of the text leak, so yeah I think they’re pretty much gone at this point.

People want them off not to take their house, but because they’re just the cancerous leach of Greek life here. Every time I’ve walked by that house someone on the porch or upstairs was always talking about another house or another girl or just something negatively. They’re not nice, they apparently favor certain girls, dues are ridiculously expensive compare to the events and such they offer. If that’s your takeaway that people are “witches” from wanting a house that steals money and gives a bad experience to be gone so that someone else can take over, then you’re not in touch with the reality of Greek life at all. Also, sigma kappa can afford to own or rent out their house, agd seems to be struggling at other campuses as well, not just here.

there will always be a "weakest" chapter on campus. When the weakest one leaves, the next in line becomes the weakest. If that one doesn't get support from the other sororities and campus in general, it, too, will eventually have to close. Support those weak chapters-your's might be next in line!

The other chapters have been trying to help support recruitment for the "weaker" houses. There isn't anything that can be done externally at this point. If they aren't willing to step up and make changes, they will disband. Yes, this means there will be a new "weakest", but the difference between AGD and any other "lower" chapter is VAST. Even our second weakest chapter is stronger than AGD has been in a decade.

Tbh AOII, GPHI, KKG, SDT have all been actively improving their PCs and events. They all have decent support on campus and a decent sisterhood.They listen and they implement changes that help the overall chapter. AGD favors members and puts changes in place that favor those members. That’s the difference between the second worse chapter and AGD. For years AGD has been getting told how to fix things with a jump with all the leaks recently and they haven’t. A new house can’t fix the fragmented sisterhood inside. Instead, they attack other chapters and anyone that has any negative things to say about them. Very disheartening but it’s time that the campus moves forward and either rents out their house to axo or invites another chapter to campus.

if things continue the way they are, they wont get any pnms for the spring, and that is gonna reduce their finances to the point where they wont be able to afford their house. its looking pretty bleak tbh
