I'm pretty sure he means them being seen wearing their letters around campus, being seen in the gym, etc. You know, the actual guys that make up the fraternity being visible, not the house. Any Greek ashamed to wear their letters is in a pathetic frat anyway. I always see Sigma Chis all over campus but never TKEs or Chi Phis.

Chi Phi is a lot better than you think. They have almost 100 brothers and they won a national award this summer. Their house is off the beaten path but they're very successful.

You're right, big doesn't mean good. Every fraternity you named in your post is not good except MAYBE Kappa Sig and Phi Tau and even then you have to put an asterisk next to both of them for not owning a house. I would consider them both top 10, but with houses, I'm sure they'd be pushing top 5 for sure. FIJI just got a new house. We'll see how that plays out for them since none of the houses on College Ave. are worth respecting except KA. And to Princeton below, the guy above you is right. Most of the FSU chapters win National awards because we're that d@mn good.

Having a house definitely helps, but it isn't the end all be all. SN and Chi Phi have houses and look at them. At the same time, Kappa Sig, Phi Tau, and Theta Chi just have the huts and are much better. Also, as someone said earlier, when those fraternities get houses, they'll rise quick as hell. All three have been here for 60 years and definitely have some money laying around. I'm sure they are just waiting for the right opportunity.

I feel that FIJI's new house is going to do wonders for them. Just think of all the drunk freshman who will stumble on their doorstep from Pots. JACKPOT.

I concur. Just because they have a house doesn't change the fact that they are a bunch of tools. Might as well call their lot on College Ave. The Tool Shed...
