They’re a secret society at FSU . They basically just pick a bunch of student leaders from sga , Greek life and other org’s on campus . No one really knows what they get up to exactly but they have a big dinner once a year during homecoming week.

They like to pretend FSU is some great university like an Ivy League and that they’re a final club like at Harvard or Yale

Spear is very old. It was created back at the turn of the 20th century at Florida State College. Kappa alpha was the only fraternity on campus then, but they founded it along with KD sorority. Spear membership is secret but very diverse today. They control campus elections and other student leadership. Fraternities are not allowed to publish which of their members are in Spear.
The annual Clock & Seal Banquet is theirs.

So many lies lmao. It was not founded by KD or KA, it was founded less than 30 years ago and its super diverse. Majority of members aren’t even in ifc or Panhellenic

Spear was founded at Florida State College in 1903. It remained underground after all the males left for Gainesville in 1905. Spear was reorganized after WWII by returning veterans. It was all very secretive, mostly white and male until the early 90s. Very diverse today but like Fight Club, members not supposed to talk about it.

Spear really is very old, from back at the beginning of the 1900s before Florida State College became Florida State College for Women. If you look at any of the big fraternities’ websites or Facebook or Instagram pages you will never see Spear mentioned. It is forbidden and if a fraternity violates it they won’t get any more members tapped that year.
Once a year they all show up at the Clock & Seal Banquet.

This is true. Only the top fraternities are represented but no one fraternity or sorority dominates. Diverse. Political.
