sae and sig ep dry houses 2020

by:

Guys going into rush should know that both SAE and Sig Ep are dry houses in 2020 and aren’t allowed to have any events at their houses with alcohol including tailgates. Not even allowed alcohol in their rooms. And if they tell you that nationals and IFC won’t strictly enforce this, they’re lying. The whole point for them going dry is to reduce insurance costs and their execs were told this is not negotiable. It sucks for them but it’s the truth

I don’t know why SAE has this policy. Sig Ep national and FSU would like to see Sig Ep be more like a sorority. No one else is like this.

Yaaaaaa all pnms should think the sigma pi that posted this is a freak neither of those houses are dry and both will be holding tailgates an events. So don’t listen to this dork he’s just jealous of how much better these two feats have gotten.

Not in any of those fraternities including Sigma pi, but the comment from you suck is lying. They can’t have alcohol starting 2020. They might have tailgates this year, but they can’t as of 2020. Completely dry houses starting fall 2020. That means kids who join SAE or Sig ep this year being told it’s no big deal will be out of luck in 2020. Who wants to join a fraternity with that as your future. If you don’t like to drink or party that’s great, join SAE or Sig ep.

Nobody listens to nationals, this is a straight up lie. Lmao sig ep is fine

I guess that’s the story you’re going with at Rush this semester lol. go read your nationals press release on it. You’ll have monitors in your house making sure there’s no alcohol. But I get it, you’re kind of bummed out about it and still in denial.

Sig Ep hasn’t had a single “registered” event so far this year and yet here they are having pnms and girls over to drink practically every night this week - SAE is doing the same. Both fraternities are in open rebellion against their nationals nationwide. You think Sig Ep REALLY wants to give bids to transgenders? You think SAE really wants to follow every rule their notoriously cucked nationals roll out?

This is a sad attempt at an attention grab, sigma pi. Lmao. Somebody come get their boy.

You know who else had a dry house? Phi Delt. Did that stop them from doing ANYTHING?

No. Next question.

And phi delt is kicking a&$ this semester with all their... oh wait, they got kicked off. Nationals breathing down your necks watching your every move. If you think they’ll let you get away with it, good luck. What part of dry house don’t you understand.

This is truth.
SAE national is going substance free in 2020 because of insurance concerns.
SigEp National is already entirely substance free no exceptions because they’ve decided to be that kind of fraternity.
Phi Delt, like SPE has been substance free nationally for a long time. They enforce it. Phi delta here ignored it. When they got in trouble their national pulled them.
My fraternity like most all other fraternities has the option of being substance free in 2020 or paying an additional insurance fee and being able to have beer in the house. We will do that and I guess others will too.
I have no idea what Signa Pi policy is nationally.
I do know that SPE is all in for NO alcohol or tobacco if any kind in their house. That’s who they want to be. SAE will enforce the same policy on their chapters whether that’s what they want to be or not.

Let me add that SPE is building a new house and they have hired a full time live-in monitor to enforce their regulations. Correct me if I am wrong.

More than responding to facts and figures, this is about aligning our actions with our values. SigEp chapters tell potential new members, parents, and campus faculty and staff that we are different. We tell them about our cardinal principles, our Balanced Man Program and our Residential Learning Communities. But we’ve failed to fully separate ourselves from the drinking club brand associated with all fraternities. And for far too long we’ve done too little to align all of our actions with our expressed values.

I understand that this will be hard. It will be hard when other fraternities are still hosting parties in their houses. It will be hard on game days when the entire campus is tailgating. And it will be harder still when friends and dates ask why they can’t come pregame at our house before an event. But it is still the right thing to do and it can work … I’ve seen it work.

Google “why substance free housing is critical for Sig ep”. No ones lying except Sig ep. If that’s what your fraternity wants to do to be a better fraternity, you should embrace it. Nothing wrong being a dry house, it’s just not for everyone.

SAE and sig ep can’t have any alcohol in their house. Not in their rooms, not in the common areas. They are completely dry houses as of 2020. Tailgates and parties all have to be off site if they want to have alcohol. Their nationals aren’t going to look the other way and let members drink in house because that’s insurance fraud. The whole decision is based on money and when it comes to money the no alcohol policy will be strictly enforced.
