You’re going to have to spend money as a pledge regardless of where you pledge at. At a “top” fraternity, the burden might actually be lower since your PC will probably be pretty big. I think I’m total I spent about $1200 on fraternity-related expenses(keep in mind half of that was a last-minute chance to go on formal lmao). So plan accordingly. Everything else was just sunk costs like gas, pitching in for tables, social fees, etc
