So if my sister is in Gamma Phi at another school, will that help me get a bid here?

As a legacy you would be invited to investment round and if you attend pref you would be on the first bid list. But that's it. They can drop you after investment round. Legacy never gets someone a bid, just a little extra consideration.

That answer surprises me. In my fraternity if a rushees dad was a member here then he’s almost guaranteed a bid unless there’s something really wrong with him. I thought sororities were even more committed to legacies than fraternities.
