is it acceptable to email sororities that you want to be in to see if they have any open spots?

I’d wait until recruitment in the spring. I don’t think they’d be doing COB this late in the semester. But if you want the chance to meet all the houses, do formal recruitment next fall

I wouldn’t really say that’s a normal thing to do, if I was you I’d just get good recs together and establish good relationships with current members. Those will help you when you rush
