the thing about dnz
by: HiSo Delta Nu Zeta gets a lot of hate on here for a ton of reasons. Because they're not Panhellenic (even though they're not really trying to be tbh), because people think they're a fake sorority, you name it. They're becoming so well known because they've grown so much and they've done such good work in the community. My best friend is in DNZ, I'm in Pan, but I love those girls. They won an award at DM and raised a lot of money for Relay. Just saying I think they deserve a lot more appreciation and a lot less hate. All Greek orgs are just trying to make the world and themselves better soooo.. let's just do it together instead of tearing each other apart

I personally have no problem with DNZ. I see them as a fun social organization for those who wish to pursue another route. However... What differentiates DNZ from other social orgs like LSH is the fact that they do push being Greek very hard. Whether it be in their pairings or the self/ranking on here they want to be Greek but only when it lends themselves convenient.
Where was DNZ when there was a Greek ban? When we each put our all into getting to that new normal.
They were having their socials and formal.
Were they at the meetings? No
Did they have fear of wearing letters? No
Even the MGC organizations had to stop recruitment and holding events. It did not stop DNZ
The reason DNZ gets torn down on here isn't because we hate them. It's because they do push being Greek with initiation and philanthropy and special recruitment qualities, but when it's time for fines and talks and learning as a community they are nowhere to be found.
While the ranking system can be unproductive and mean it is done with the respect that they are a chapter here. From KD to AOPi we each have tradition on this campus on campuses everywhere there is a bond in our letters.
There is Panlove and Greek Love
You cannot be truly Greek without accepting any of the consequences that come with the title. Approach a council about joining, become regulated and see what it truly means both the good and the bad.
Sorry for the long post y'all.

Honestly to any incoming students interested in joining DNZ should save their time and money. Do not bother joining that “sorority”. They claim to show the true meaning of sisterhood when in reality they’ll kick out and shun anyone who isn’t good enough for them, take your money, and will never give you a response as to why. Very fake and cliquey for a wannabe sorority. Don’t waste your time and money and join a real sorority instead if interested in the greek life where they will give you the time of day, whether you’re in or out, and maybe actually hold the true bond of sisterhood.

Delta Nu Zeta is a local sorority at FSU. They participate in the same activities as most Greek life but the difference is that they aren't affiliated with a council and they don't have a house. They were created in the early 2000s for women that aren't able to afford a traditional sorority or women that didn't feel happy in other sororities. They have a chapter at UF, a small college in PA, and they're working on expanding to other schools in FL
