time to stop ranking and band together

I see this site mainly being used as a platform for which people pass judgment on others simply based on their letters. Competition (athletically, recruiting/rush, etc.) is a significant pillar of the Greek system, as it forces each chapter to apply itself in a manner in which it can realize its full potential. I, as do many others, enjoy the culture of competition. However, I believe that there is a time and place for said competition, and that is not now. With Florida State's Greek system having been essentially dismantled over the past few months, it is imperative that all of us come together, not under our own letters, but under the common umbrella of involvement in Greek life. Lending a hand to another chapter when we see things becoming difficult, promoting and participanting in philanthropy outside of our own, or giving words of encouragement to members of a chapter that may be going through a conduct-review process are just a few of many things that can be done. Greek life is home to an enormous portion of our campus leaders, and I think that we should use our knowledge and expertise to stop focusing on "tiers" and start focusing on how we can help one another.
