transferring baceause of greek life
by: SpicoliAnybody going to transfer schools because Greek life is suspended. Honestly pretty sure it will impact admissions for next year.

It would be super drastic to transfer because of this. Also, if you are already initiated you’d have to find a school with your chapter or go early alum (which the latter would defeat the purpose) unless you went to a northern school where Greek life wasn’t the only social scene til you’re 21.
Even if Greek life as a whole wasn’t suspended, it’s entirely possible that you’re chapter might be put on social probation for a semester or two from their own mistakes. Would you transfer then?
I️ feel like you’re a new member (freshman). I’m a junior, and I️ get that it sucks, but as you get older the more you’ll realize there’s more to college than Greek life. Me and The majority of my friends are 21 so we don’t have to rely on frat parties, and you’ll make friends in your classes with people in your major who you’ll hang out with A LOT, who could have a different affiliation than you or none at all. I️ love my sorority, but I️ get that this is worse for a freshman or sophomore than a junior or senior. Plus you can still hang out with people in your chapter, just no official events

Yes it’s drastic. Honestly if I️ told my parents I️ wanted to transfer bc of this they wouldnt allow it. But Greek life shouldn’t be the only thing you like about FSU, if it is then Transfer. But pick a school where you like it for more reasons than Greek life then lmao

That is such a sensible decision.
Completely transfer schools and pay tuition that is exponentially higher in cost all because of a temporary halt on activities in Greek life.
Plus the University of Miami students never get in trouble.
I wish you luck ;-)!
