northern student
by: DougieBHey, I am coming from the north and am planning on rushing a frat... A lot of people have told me stories about northers not getting a bid due to being from the north. I was wondering If that was true at FSU? I am hoping not and if so are there any "northern fraternities"?

This is Florida, half the groups are more like Jersey Shore than anything Southern. In fact there are only 6 or so fraternities that are really that Southern at all. That said, even at the most traditional Southern Greek systems like Alabama and Ole Miss only have one or two groups that won't take good Northern kids.
