pnms be open minded

during pref, give all 3 houses a CHANCE! Just cause it wasn't your top house or "the top house", you'll end up there for a reason and you'll be lucky to just be a part of the amazing Panhellenic community in general :)
-a girl who had no desire to be at the "middle tier" house she got on bid day as a PNM and is now obsessed with her sorority

You end up there for a superficial sad reason... truly a wrong reason... Would you marry your 5th or 17th choice? Why would anyone force themselves into a settlement.. like arranged marriage.. and then pay thousands of dollars and hours and hours trying to learn to love their "sisters"... FSU has wayyyy too much to offer with clubs, activities.... Greedy PanHELLenic should realize how pathetic they are... "Keep going... you'll learn to love the only ones that want you" Please keep your dignity girls! Just going through this horrendous process speaks volumes to your character! YOU ARE WAY MORE THAN THEY MAKE YOU FEEL YOU ARE!!! Lots of love to you... and go have funnn!!!

I'm so darn sorry you were so hurt by the process that (even after your left the Greek system) you would come on this site to say awful things on Pref Day. That truly is heartbreaking. Whether a young woman chooses Greek Life, or not, it is up to them. They can still ROCK their time at FSU, in a myriad of ways, regardless of whether they choose to "go Greek". The "involvement opportunities" of Florida State are endless. If they chose to go Greek, PNMs should focus on the sisterhood and the incredible involvement that comes with it. IF you give these amazing Chapters an opportunity, you will see that EACH ONE shines in their own unique way and that they do so much good for the community. That's it...Go NOLES! Wish you the best "Realist"!!

I'm a guy. In a good fraternity. I'd say from what I've seen nearly all the girls in all the sororities seem pretty happy with their groups. The only time you hear much about tiers is during rush. Leave these girls alone. They want what you wanted, and maybe they'll do a better job of finding it than you did.

Actually, it's about sisterhood, getting involved, and finding a group of wonderful people who support your vision for the next 4 years. Many times PNMs get blinded by the glam of Rush, the junk written on this page, or the "supposed (not true) importance" of tiers. Contrary to your post, EVERY SINGLE Greek Chapter at FSU has amazing girls....every single solitary one. EACH Pan-CHAPTER has sisters involved in all facets of FSU extracurriculars, they ALL do amazing community service and they ALL provide an incredible support system for their sisters. Rather then name-call, belittle the process, or toss out negativity on Pref-Day, focus on the positive. Greek Life might not have been a positive experience for you, but for thousands of young women at FSU, it's truly an amazing experience.
