there are many factors that contribute to spring recruitment. basically, if a sorority has a ton of members that graduate or drop, they can participate in spring recruitment in order to fill the quota void. remember, sororities are expensive and if a lot of members graduate/go inactive/drop, they lose a lot of funds that were provided by members. all sororities will participate in an "open-house" event called winterfest held at the union, where every chapter will have a table. if that chapter is participating in spring recruitment, and are interested in you, they will text you and invite you to an event at that chapter house. not all sororities do spring bids, in fact, only a few do every year. zeta and AGD (and a few more, i cant remember) both took spring classes last year. but theres no guarantee that they will be doing it next spring. its completely subjective and varies every year! hope this helps :)
