legacies
by: PnmDo chapters have to take a certain amount of legacies
#4 by: Legacies
No sorority is required to take a certain number of legacies. No sorority is required to take any legacies at all. A legacy must be a good fit with a chapter to get a bid just like any other PNM. Legacies are appreciated and do get an extra look at most houses, but each house has it's own policies regarding how this is handled during recruitment. If a legacy is not a good fit she will be released sometime before the pref round. Your legacy connection comes from an initiated member of that sorority from any chapter, doesn't have to be from FSU. Legacy means daughter, sister, and usually granddaughter but not always. Great-granddaughter also for a couple of sororities. Adopted and step relations policies are more varied. If your family connection is an aunt or a cousin, you are not a legacy.
