Do PNM's really have to wear a Lilly Pulizer dress during recruitment?

There's nothing written down, but it will be noticed if you don't conform. The only exception is a St. John's skirt or blazer.

This is not true at all! I don't own anything lily nor did I wear any during recruitment, and I received a bid from a sorority that has a good reputation. Some girls wore lily, but not most.

Wear Lilly. The patterns are bright so you stand out, and it's a noticeably expensive brand. If you can dish out 100+ dollars on a dress just for rush, it shows you're serious and willing to take the financial responsibility of being in a sorority. It means you care about making a good first impression, which a lot of actives can appreciate from PNM's.

The downside is that Lilly gets very repetitive and you'll probably match hundreds of other girls. You're also not guaranteed a bid from the houses you want just because you wear Lilly. Some girls might even be turned off by it if it's not their style, and you risk looking like a try hard.
