does being friends help you get in sorority?

My friend is there for summer and made friends with two girls in a certain sorority. Both girls are first years, so they only just joined the sorority last year. She thinks she will easily be able to get into their sorority being friends with them both. Is she right? Its top tier

It will help to have someone on the inside to speak up for her, but that is no guarantee at all for getting a bid.

Those girls haven't been through formal rush as a sister, so they don't really know what input they're going to be able to have. It doesn't hurt to have a sister rooting for you, but it's not a sure thing. She needs to keep an open mind.

its all based on looks for the first 2 rounds anyway and I'm pretty sure most sororities only the older girls really vote/ have a say in who stays. being good friends with a few PC 16s doesn't matter
