transfer advice!!! ~sorority or nah?~

okay im transferring from another school that im very unhappy at, mostly because the politics of greek life make me sad . i changed my entire identity when i joined my house (became superficial and judgmental and constantly worried about my reputation) and i need a fresh start.
in all honesty, how bad is the greek life drama here? i would love honest opinions from all the lovely ladies. i know i sound stupid because FSU is known for its greek life but i still want to ask. do people only talk about greek life? is it all-consuming of your social life? can i happily exist without it?
also i am currently in zta at my school, so what are they like here? nice...? or very reputation-oriented? i promise im not actually lying. im seriously transferring and don't want to be equally unhappy here as i was at my last school. (will be a sophomore in the fall!!)

OP, go meet the Zetas. Make up your own mind based on your own opinion of them. Understand that even if you decide you want to affiliate with them, they may not invite you to do so. With most sororities you have to have your former chapter submit paperwork on your behalf to your national office. You might get started on that now, just in case you do want to affiliate. I know a girl who was a transfer from Bama who did affiliate with her sorority here. She had to wait an entire semester before she could affiliate because of a paperwork holdup. I have heard that in most sororities it can take a while to get the paperwork done.
FSU is a big school. I know lots of folks who are not members of Greek life. They manage to keep themselves entertained. You will be fine if you don't affiliate.
