how common is dropping pledges after they accept b

A friend who goes to a school up north told me this is super common where he goes. Frats will bid a guy they don't want and drop them a couple weeks into pledging.

It's not a common practice here. Behave yourself, do as you're told and don't piss off the brothers and you'll be fine.
