miami stigma

Whenever I come across people involved in greek life at FSU on social media or talk to people I know there it seems like there might be a stigma towards kids from Miami, especially amongst fraternities. Does being from Miami hurt your chance of getting into certain houses? Is it just a hispanic thing?

It all depends on how you come off. There's guys from Miami that are super stereotypical hispanics that rage, do blow, and speak with a Miami accent. Others you'll have no idea they're from Miami. Depending on the fraternity you'll get different responses. Obviously Delt and Phi Tau are straight out of Hialeah while you won't find anyone from Miami in KA. However, most fraternities are more of a solid mix
