I've heard that spring bids just go to friends. Is there a chance for those of us who don't know anyone

it depends on the sorority, some will take a girl that makes a great impression without any connections, and others will only have 8-10 spots available that are already basically claimed by friends of members, making it very competitive. Don't let that discourage you from participating! just give it a try and it'll all work out in the end! best of luck
