There are a few houses that did not meet quota during fall recruitment, however a lot of houses (including mine) won't know if they're allowed to take some girls in a spring pledge class until the first day of the semester.

It all depends on what campus total is reset to by Panhellenic the first week of school. (Total is the allowable chapter size, and if a sorority is below total they are able to extend bids to get up to total.) Total is usually the median chapter size of all sororities on campus. In the fall, total was around 280. So each sorority will review their membership rosters and determine how many members they now have after accounting for women who graduate, women who transfer, etc. This number will be turned into Panhellenic and Panhellenic will compute the median chapter size (new total). So no one really knows at this point which sororities will have open spots or how many.
