frats for trans guys
by: TGuyThank you to the couple people who gave me a response. However I noticed the ones I named seemed to be bad choices according to you guys. Do you have any suggestions of Frats that you know to be friendly towards transgender guys? Or should I avoid it all together? Also, how is the FSU community as a whole towards transgender individuals? I just want to know what I'm getting myself into next semester. Again, thank you to the people who responded!

I think some of it, honestly, depends on how you present yourself. Are you a woman trying to become a man, or vice versa? I mean no disrespect, but what you look like when you show up at the door makes a difference. If you look like a man and you are reasonably personable and you don't make an issue over your gender then you should be OK in certain circles. The advice above is good: Beta Theta Pi and Sigma Phi Epsilon are very liberal and open fraternities. I don't know anything about Sigma Pi.

Female to male transgender. I look masculine, but I also look like I'm 15 sometimes. Judging from the responses, I should avoid rushing. Which is fine by me, I'm capable of making friends and whatnot without it. How is the FSU community as a whole about transgender individuals?
