heritage vs. on-campus
by: HeritageBeing close to school is probably convenient, but I feel that with the exception of Delt that the heritage fraternities are almost automatically better. Always better parties, everyone tailgates there, their houses look good, and they have more room. Opinions?

You could make the case that the top 4 fraternities right now include Pike, Phi Delt, Theta Chi and Delt. Some would substitute ATO for TX or make a top 5.
Most of the fraternities are clustered around College or in HG.
College Ave advantage: closer to campus; closer to sorority houses; closer to downtown and bars.
College Ave dis-advantage: Houses are small and old. The KA house is new and Theta Chi is building on College but none of the houses have size or parking. SAE says they're adding enough rooms to house 60 but we'll see if they can fill it. City Police have jurisdiction.
Heritage Grove advantage: Large houses, great amenities and plenty of parking. Across from the most popular Publix in America. Three of the largest fraternity houses in America (Pike, Phi Delt, ZBT) plus 8 smaller club houses with dorm attachments.
HG dis-advantages: further from campus, and a couple of the club houses are falling apart. Campus Police have jurisdiction.
ATO and Chi Phi probably have the best housing situations. They're both close to Doak and in the middle of College Town.
