I definitely agree with the reply above, superficial people like you are the reason people hate greek life. Once you graduate you'll realie that none of what you seem to care about matters and that those that are in organizations that you call "bottom tier" got a much better Greek life experience than you did

Beta & Sig Delt got 2nd and Gamma Phi & Chi Phi got 3rd, all of those organizations are considered lower/lower-mid. Just because of your "ranking" in some BS "tier system" doesn't mean that you can't hold your own in competitions, or for that matter not enjoy your time in Greek life. You're ignorant AF, hope I don't know you.

OK, let me be the assh#@e here.
I'd say that the effort put into floats is pretty much the same all over. Delt-DG, Pike-KD invests the same amount of time and money as AOPi-Phi Psi. I suspect the following: 1) If the judges are Greek members, that they are inclined for whatever reason to award the prize to the groups which have lower social standing and will not use their prizes to compete against the judges' chapters. Or 2) the judges are administrators who loathe the top tier houses on principle and believe they have the power to be 'fair' and award prizes to the 'have-nots' instead of the 'haves'.

Homecoming is an FSU tradition we should all participate in. The nice thing about it is that it's not just based on floats. Homecoming WEEK was filled with different events in which organizations from every background of the school participate in. They ALSO receive points for receiving and even more for placing. If you are upset about a pairing putting tireless hours, not only on a float, but into other events, you need to reconsider your involvement.

Maybe you should get a life????? These girls are participating in things that every should be. Sorry they have more girls that show up? Sorry they are better at pairing? You should really seek help for your superiority complex

It's sad how wrong you are, both aopi's and sig delt's floats were much better than the others and they obviously put a lot more effort into homecoming as a whole. Plus the judges are made up from members of chapters all along the "tier system" as well as unaffiliated students. Stop trying to make excuses for your chapter's lack of effort, it's honestly pathetic

They're clearly better than whatever organization you're in because yours obviously fosters horrible people. Life isn't all about looks, you'll realize that if you ever manage to graduate

...so maybe the qualities that someone considers makes a fraternity or sorority top tier don't align with yours...all subjective...and who is right? Big deal...
