It's normally kept on the down-low if a house holds a COB event. Typically they'll only invite girls that were recommended by other sisters. If there's a girl that REALLY stood out to them they may invite her if she didn't accept a bid elsewhere but that's unusual. I haven't heard anything and my house isn't holding COB because we have enough girls. I wouldn't hold your breath. If you want the best chances of getting into a house, go through formal recruitment next fall, keep your grades up, and make lots of friends.

No I wouldn't really suggest spring rush. The only house that will probably be openly taking is AGD. There might be like four or five others who need girls but they will be tiny pledge classes (for example, Theta only took two girls this past spring.) If you have good enough grades, know how to do hair and make-up, and can hold your own in a conversation you'll be competitive enough to go through recruitment as a junior.

Theta took more than two, go scroll thru their Instagram pictures, they posted their Spring PC - it was like 10 girls.

Heck no AGD didn't make quota, they only got about 50 girls this past recruitment when quota was like 92. I said that because they take a spring pledge class every year consistently when it varies for everyone else so this year isn't an exception. Not necessarily because they know beforehand who's graduating in December and account for that in their fall numbers.

This past spring, several sororities had spring rush… Theta, Phi Mu, GPhi, DZ, APhi, AOII. ( I think ) and AGD...: and every single one of them took anywhere from 7 to 12 girls… It is extremely hard to get a bed during spring rush. Most of the time the bids are already taken by friends of current members, but it is possible… I got a bid and I didn't know anyone during spring rush, so it can happen. Good luck!

If you look back through sororities social media a lot of top tiers like DG, ZTA, Theta has had a Spring PC 2-3 years ago. But I'm not sure if they are this year, it's a little early to know.

What if you don't have any friends in sororities? Do I approach girls in my class or reach out to those who follow me via social media?

do it naturally! Ask them to hang out with you! if they know of something coming up they can put your name in! honestly though my chapter just accepted some girls through COB ,so I had no idea and no input ,but it does't hurt to try and every chapter is different !

A lot of them do, but it seriously is on the DL. My chapter is but I can't say, we aren't even allowed to tell the girl we're recruiting and its very hush.

I'm trying so hard to COB a sorority but it's hard to tell who actually is recruiting! Any advice? I don't have that many friends in Panhellenic so I'm trying to conversate with different girls in my classes

Would you suggest spring rush. I'm a sophomore so I feel like rushing as a junior is going to be pointless.
