by: idkIf you've already been accepted into a sorority and want to drop it, how long do have to drop it? Is it worth dropping and rushing again? I only went through with it because everyone kept telling me to give it a chance, but I honestly feel like an outsider & I feel like I settled for something less than my personal value. Will the girls be upset if I drop out and rush again next fall?

As long as you don't initiate, you can re-rush next fall.
Of course the women in your current sorority will be upset if you drop out.
It's been less than a week - you still ARE an outsider. Have you taken time to get to know sisters or other new members? I don't really know what you mean by your "personal value" but I promise there are women in your sorority like you. There are party girls, athletes, Bible thumpers, stunningly gorgeous women, introverts, hilarious pranksters, studious nerds, and every other type in every house.

I mean did you leave summer camp after a few days bc you didn't know anyone?
How about leaving your (optional) classes after a few days, bc you didn't know anyone?
Dude, you've gotta give this more than a few days/a week.
Go hang out with your PC/MC/AC/whatever, get to know the older girls, & give. this. a. chance.
My ex-dorm roommate dropped after a few days, like you want to, & was so bitter the rest of the year, bc she saw what she COULD have had, had she given it a chance.
When she went to re-rush, she got dropped from everyone, yes even the ""lower tiers"" (which is BS, bc all of the sororities here are really great), bc they didn't want to waste a spot on someone who they weren't sure really wanted to be there (after all, she already dropped once!) & talked crap about everyone out of jealousy & bitterness.
You can go ahead & drop, doesn't make a lick of difference to me, but I'm telling you -- you.will.regret.it.
Give things time.
It'll work out in the end.
