There will be houses that you truly think you will fit into right now after you've stalked their Instagrams, tumblrs, and recruitment videos. There will be houses right now that you would rather drop than take a bid from. All of your opinions on these houses will most likely change once you actually go through recruitment. I've come across some PNM's who truly think they are better than most of the chapters at FSU, and will bash mid and lower chapters. I can only imagine their disappointment once they get dropped from a top house. The truth is that every single chapter at FSU has something to offer you, will help you grow as a person and will support you in all your endeavors. The rankings on this website have very little to do with sisterhood, philanthropy, and involvement which are all the reasons you should be rushing, not because some frat guy said you should rush "XYZ".

During rush you are going to get dropped by houses you absolutely loved, and yes it's going to hurt because you'll feel like it's a personal attack, when really it's a numbers game. They're 2200+ girls rushing and each sorority can only take 90-100 girls, that's why rush is so competitive and that's why any house you end up in on bid day will be an amazing chapter. Trust the system, trust your rho gam, go into rush with an open mind, and know that bid day is all worth it. That is truly the best advice any active can give you.
