the thing about recruitment

by: k

Going through recruitment last year I thought "keeping an open mind" and "trust the system" was just something they told you so you wouldn't feel so horrible when a house dropped you. Looking back on it now, it's the best advice you will hear throughout rush. It's gonna hurt when the house you thought was perfect for you drops you, but at the end of the week you will end up where you belong. Tiers don't matter as much as this site makes it seem. You're going to be who you are no matter what sorority you're in. Being top tier won't automatically make you any more attractive, just like being bottom doesn't make you any less attractive. Rush week may not have been my favorite experience in college, but I promise bid day will make it worth it.
